In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Mindset Summit originally scheduled for April 10 on the campus of Columbus State University will be supported as a virtual event. More details on this opportunity will be available soon.
The Mindset Summit is an opportunity for institutional teams to plan their work around understanding what the results of the USG Mindset Survey mean for their campuses and how to take concrete steps to create a productive academic mindset.
The Mindset Summit is open to a broad range participants, but we encourage institutional teams that include the institutional coordinator or point of contact for Mindset work at the institution, faculty and administrators who are aligned with courses being taught in the first year (optimally a single course) such as a first-year course in English, Math, or first-year experience. The Summit will provide an opportunity for this team to investigate how to work more intentionally on Mindset within the context of a course and may involve planning for developing and prototyping Mindset interventions for your campus. Teams can include up to six members and should be coordinated through the Provosts office; there is no fee for registration.
