Tracking Student Success

Using Campus Labs technology in order to implement Beacon.  Beacon is a type of early warning software to address academic integration. We are also employing Strategy 4.3 (use Degree Works to track student progress).

Increased aggressive advising efforts to encourage students to register for summer courses and to take credit hour averages of 15 semester credit hours/semester leading to earlier completion of degrees

Use DegreeWorks to track student progress.

Establish criteria for identifying students who may need special interventions in the semester. Make use of Early Alert, Degree Works, and other tools

Provide proactive, intrusive academic advising to keep students on track to graduate through: Reducing Errors in Course Selection; Reducing Major/Program of Study Changes; Improving Academic Performance; Sustaining SAP Requirements and Retaining Financial Aid Funding; and Providing Early Academic Support for Students

Implementation of new technology to assist advisors and students with degree planning and intrusive advising (DegreeWorks, EAB Student Success Collaborative (EAB-SSC), and Grades First)
